Like cala said, it entirely depends on what you are trying to do. Shaping wire is difficult to do without needlenose pliers. Maybe you could use the dull scissors like cala suggested, it just won't come out as neat... use your imagination to find things around the house that will work.

It depends one what you need to do. I have used a pair of dull scissors before to clamp my crimp bead on the end. Just make sure the scissors aren't good, or you will ruin them.
