Has anyone read, "the Bet" by Anton Chevhov??? I need to know what your response was to the book! I need to compare it to mine for my school project!!

I think I read the short story version...with the guy who bets the young dude he couldn't spend 15 years in his shed? Yeah, i thought it was pretty dumb of the young guy to just walk out, I mean I know he had a reason to, but I just didn't get it.
