nothing at all wrong with you!
so relax.
the more you think about it and stress out, the more they could be delayed.
plus your body is unique and individual, i know all teens like to be the same, but puberty doesnt care about that, your body will do things when its ready and right for YOU.
as a mum of a teen, i really love it when she does talk to me, but its rare and i'd love her to talk to me more, so i'm sure your mum would really love for you to be open with her about this.
the doc couldnt do anything as you cant force nature!
dont worry about white lies either, i did it at 11 and in 1st year of high school.... i started my periods in the summer before and didnt want anyone to know so i said i HADNT started!! so there's probably half your year at school who are telling half truths about something...again thats part of teenage-dom.
you're beautiful just the way you are. if you are still without periods at 18, then go have a calm chat with a GP.
until then, you are saving a HUGE amount of money in not having to buy sanitary pads! and no period pains...mine were quite painful, so just be grateful that you will not have that yet either!
its great when it happens, but novelty soon wears off.
but dont listen to anyone who says that you cant get pregnant until periods begin..you could be ovulating the first time you have sex, so always always always use condoms !!
good luck

If you have normal breast development and pubic hair development then that means you are in puberty. If you do not then I am sure the doctor would have recommended some tests. If not, maybe you should go to a women's health specialist (gynecologist).
Your period normally starts about 2 years after breast development starts (the bud stage--sore hard knots under the nipple) It may also be delayed if you are very slender or very athletic. If you have trouble talking to your mom, discuss it with a school nurse or the mom of one of your friends if that is more comfortable for you.
Don't beat yourself up over telling your friends and teacher that you had started--adolescence is hard for everyone and no one wants to be different. Hope this helps you

try not to worry about it, some girls are early developers and some are late developers. I wouldnt lie to your friends etc just be honest as you have nothing to be ashamed of. If you have started developing in other ways then there is every chance that your periods will start soon. Try and talk to your mom again, I am sure that she will be happy to chat to you about this. Make sure that you have sanitary towels at home for when you do start your periods. Your only 15, some girls are 17 before they get their 1st period. Go back and see your doctor if your really worried and need some re-assurance.

You know what? You're actually lucky..first of all, it's perfectly normal to get your period anywhere from like 12 to 17, everyone matures differently. You are one of the lucky ones because you have an extra few years without the annoyingness of having a period, I was almost 14 when I got mine, and its been annoying the hell out of me ever since. Also, it could mean that you have a really good body. Gymnasts and dancers often don't get their period til really late, like my mom at 17, because they're in such great shape that they don't have enough body fat to support a baby, which is why you get your period. So maybe you just have a really low body fat percentage... in which case all I can say is LUCKY! Don't worry about it, you'll get it eventually and there's no need to feel ashamed at all.

I understand your concern but there really is not a lot to worry about my aunt didn't get her period until she was seventeen and to be honest I think she was one of the fortunate ones, after all you have your periods until you go through the menopause at least thirty to thirty five years. If your period still hasn't come by the time your eighteen then I would most definitely go and see your doctor. If you are constantly worrying about this then that can also stop your periods from starting. Please please don't worry you are not abnormal, and do try and not to worry, think to yourself it will come when MY body is ready and not before.
Good Luck
P.s: Try talking to your mum, grandmother, or a nurse.

When you saw the doctor did you mention you haven't started menstrating yet? If not, I would suggest you visit the doctor again. Just to rule out any medical problem. Your case is not unique or uncommon so do not panic or worry yourself. Time tables are different for everyone and your body is probably working on maturing other areas and will get around to it. It is hard to talk to your mom, I understand, but she may have been a late starter herself, or your aunt(s) or grandmother(s). Talking to her maybe all you need. Perhaps just write your mom a note telling her your embarrassed to talk but worried. Moms do understand more than any of us give them credit for. Good luck to you, I will be thinking of you.

you will have your period when your body is ready. everyone is different. my mother had hers when she was 12, but i only got mine when i was 15. its perfectly normal, because no one is exactly the same. in the meantime, enjoy not having a period! i felt left out too, but i wish i had enjoyed it while i could. having your period is not exactly a picnic in the park. some say that if you get your period later, that means you will have it longer when you grow older. but that's not true. so just have confidence in yourself and try not to worry about it. it will come sooner or later. for you (and me) its just later, which is fine. if a couple of years pass and you still have not gotten it, your doctor should look more into that. but for now, just enjoy yourself!

Don't worry!
You don't need to feel ashamed. Every single girl differs. Some get their period as early as 4...some as late as 18. (although getting it as 4 isn't likely, it sadly has happened) If anything, look on the bright side. Periods, as exciting as they are, get old quick. Live without it as long as you can. You constantly feel wet, it smells, and if you're unlucky enough you get cramps. Next time a girl is complaining about getting her period...well, just know how luck you really are.

your organism hasn't reached yet to is sexual maturity. It's normal to start your period between 11 and 16 years, so don't worry...nothing you do can affect it, it will come when it's time. However, if it doesn't start till you are 16, you should see a gynecologist...maybe will give you a treatment or something...hey, cheer up, it's a good thing, on the other hand!
