I worked from 10 PM - 2/3 AM every weeknight in order to pay for college without taking out loans. In retrospect I wish I could've lived on campus to be part of the community there or that I would've had an easier time staying awake in some of my classes but in the end everything worked out.

A sacrifice is exchanging something you value a lot for something you don't value as much.
Anything I have given up to go to college hasn't been what I consider a sacrifice.

In general you learn to prioritize more. Your friends want to go out for drinks but you have a HUGE exam tommorow morning you HAVE to study for...stuff like that. Also, if you have a job that cuts your time even shorter. Start carrying a daily planner, I've noticed it helps alot with organizing my time.

As a grown man in the South, because I am in college full-time. the majority of my family looks at me like some non-workin' punk and have practically disowned me.

Privacy. Shared a room with two other guys. Nowhere to even have a private telephone conversation.
Good food. Dinner was usually Ramen noodle or hot dogs cooked in my hot pot.

Depending on where you live while you are in college, the people or person you are living can greatly influence your experience. Personal space may be sacrficed. You will sacrifice many hours studying, but is truely worth it just for the experience.

Any college student is spending time studying at times when they could be having fun doing something else. Or perhaps you are good in a subject and you are helping someone else with it.

Moved away from all my life long friends and family to attend graduate school in another state because they gave me a scholarship.
I regret it.
It was not worth the sacrifice.

Food that tastes good. All I eat is oatmeal and ramen, unless I can get someone to buy me dinner.
