I used to run Norton and never had any problems but one day after reformatting Windows on wy mothers pc I decided to try AVG, most people like it so I wanted to try it too.
Well, I soon descovered that AVG sucks big time as after coming back from holidays my mother had been on the net, she did something or another and caught some 20 viruses, including trojans that slowed the pc to a crawl.. it only took a month for the computer to become so infected.
So i had to reformat once again and install Norton, now my mom's computer is as safe as it has always been.
In the end it is always the same, some people will advice this or that without knowing what they are saying. The best way is always to find things out by yourself then judge by your own findings.
