I'm with you. Some teachers seem to feel that the classroom is the appropriate place to forward their own political agendas. As the majority of children are very "impressionable" it seems unethical to me. For many children, this verges on brainwashing. I'm glad to see that you are able to think for yourself.

I don't hate Iranians and I don't think that a majority of the people in the US hate the people. I will say that we have a huge disdain for Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and the hate that he show towards your neighbor Israel. We are also no big fans of a government which is led on religious principals rather than the principal of fairness . This is not knocking your religion but I would venture to say that the Shai', Sunni and Sufi would all agree that it would be better if it were their form of Islam. Sunni's of course can not even run for office I have worked with several Iranians over my 30 year career in the semiconductor industry. These people were smart and friendly. I would say that you would be treated well in this country, at least by the people that I know. We are not the people that Ahmadinejad would like you to believe that we are. I can tell you that most Americans do not wish the Iranian government to have the ability to create nuclear weapons. At least not with your current government. I can also tell you that if I were to travel to Iran, there is now way I would want to attempt to drive in Tehran My short answer is that I hate your government, the people are really much different that what the propaganda videos shown from them to be. How do I know? To many associations from Iranian co-workers that have all told the same story.

I'm going to assume that you don't want an honest response to your question/comment but I'll give it to you anyway.
If you honestly think that you are taught to hate your heritage you need a reality check. European and White American history is all that is taught in schools today. Other people don't even have the chance to hear about their history.
And one should feel bad about the Genocide committed against Native peoples.
Lastly, Please educate yourself on history and culture. Native people were at peace before colonizers came. What you are referring to is a common stereotype created to ride the dominant culture of their guilt.

Its called brainwashing. I don't believe any race should feel ashamed of who they are, hate the wrongs, yes, but a whole race of people can't be blamed for the mistakes of others just because they are from the same race. The Holocaust happened because of a German man, well I have German in me, my great grandfather was German, should I be ashamed? I'm black, should I be ashamed because of the crimes people in the black race commit? I'm also part Native American and Irish, I love my heritage. Why should I be ashamend, did I do anything to be ashamed of? No. I'm not going to be accountable for it, so why should I worry about it?In the Bible it states that the son should not have to pay for his father's sins.... And for it to be taught in schools is just proving pc is taking an unfair advantage of its advances.

Ummmm....I've never been taught anything to do with hating Europeans. I don't know what went on in your school (which from your opinion sounds pretty dysfunctional), but that is not the way most schools are, in fact I've never heard of one like that. I'm sure someone would be complaining about that and it would be put to a stop, or at least it would be in the news.

Americans, some, are Jeleous of others, Americans are hyproctites, their ancestry came from Europe yet they say they hate them, Americans dont have an indenity, no roots, no origins, they are all mixed, and so therefore when a person dnt know or care about their hisotry they tend to be weak minded, uncivilsed, unedcuated, and do bad things as they dnt care or value human life, satans man.

although, the killing of native americans WAS awful, and quite a bit of the violence from the native american side was provoked. remember kids, the quakers lived in peace with the native americans because they didn't treat them like animals.

In the Middle Ages, Muslims bathed and studied astronomy, algebra (Arabic word), anatomy, and were tolerant to other religions, unlike Europe. It was wrong for that video to say that. You should be proud of Europe.

Because they think that the only way to make non-whites feel good about themselves is to demonise whites. Besides, they assume that if white kids grow up hating their heritage, then they will not become *gasp* racists. American public schools: brainwashing at its finest.
Yes, it is disgusting.

I guess that its better to teach children that Columbus "discovered" America huh? Someone finally started telling the truth and white americans fear some type of uproar about it. Relax kid.
