I've gone from Athens to London and my son did Ireland to Athens by car.
From Greece nowadays is best to take the ferryboat to Italy, rather than drive thru what used to be Jugoslavia.
From Italy, say Ancona, you can drive north in the Autostrata and chose to go thru Switzerland or France. The highways are very good but pricey at times. There are sites you can check their prices on. Reaching Callais (Northern France you can ferry to England. You can also get there by ferry from either Holland or Germany depending on the route you chose.
Once in England you must drive to the West coast (Liverpool) and ferry across to Ireland.
Keep in mind that gasoline -petrol in England- is VERY expensive in Europe, at least twice the price of gas in the States because of taxes.

You can't 'drive' from Greece to Ireland ... the 'closest' you can get is by driving north through France and then driving through the 'tunnel' under the English channel but you'll have to 'stop driving' when you get to the west coast of England ... but you may be able to take a 'ferry' (and put your car onto the ferry) from the west coast of England to the east coast of Ireland. If you can't find any one website with the 'information' you need, try 'dividing up' your drive ... you'll go from Greece to what country ... that's 'one section' and from that section to another country ... that is your 'second section' and do that until you have decided what is the route you want to take ... and it sounds 'difficult' but if you get 'good maps' and pack them with a journal where you can write things about your journey, you will certainly have a 'good trip' to remember forever.

Looks like you'll have to take the chunnel or a ferry from Dieppe, France to Dover, Englad. Taking the ferry is fun. You'll get to see the "White Cliffs of Dover." (I've done that. You drive your car right onto the ferry's garage. Then you go upstairs and relax on the trip to England.) Then you'll take another ferry to Ireland. Sounds like a lot of fun. Need a companion?

In Greece you have to drive to Patra and take the ferry to Ancona or Bari in Italy. Then you drive along Italy to France, and from there I don't know.
You can also have the car sent somewhere by lorry, and fly there, and drive less.

My advice is, don't do it. You can get as far as England via the Chunnel, but you'll dead-end at the Irish Sea - if you try driving through it, you'll drown, and that would be a tragic end to your trip.
