I have to agree with you. I grew up with the Von Erich's, Jimmy Superfly Snooka, Junk Yard, The Freebirds, Andre, Dusty Rhodes, etc... They used to actually wrestle and not just slap each others chest. But I guess Vince gives what the audience wants.

The ninety's have been divided into 2 factors, the previous due ninety's became in accordance with an strategies-set and an part in characters..and the wrestling became greater hardcore, the early ninety's became wrestling. The early ninety's had great wrestling suits, however WWF became dogged for having particularly some comic strip characters at that element. WCW had great wrestling suits at that element, however WWF became nevertheless the miraculous fed. on the instant the suits are all short for the main section, no longer as medical as at that element. Wrestlers all had greater effective promo reducing skill then they do on the instant, and wrestlers did no longer count lots on a character. that they had a character, yet maximum found out the wrestling section o.k.. Tag wrestling became nevertheless incredibly super, now tag wrestling is for the main section ineffective, particularly in the WWE. WCW's early ninety's roster became easily the place many of the wrestlers who made up the strategies-set era in the WWE got here from.

Wrestling has ALWAYS had stupid plot lines. It can be decent entertainment at times, but I still can't get over that some people think that it's real fighting.

I know a former pro wrestler (famous) who is seriously disabled as a result of his career. It's a brutal bit of athletics, but it is NOT fighting. Maybe this is why guys suddenly disappear from the scene.

By the way, does anyone remember a guy named "Dick the Bruiser"?
