Butternut Square was a Canadian children's television series which aired on CBC Television between October 19, 1964 and February 10, 1967.

The cast featured Ernie Coombs as Mr. Dressup and Fred Rogers as Mr. Rogers, both of whom would follow with their own television series.

I think it was an early kids' TV program that took place at that fictional location, just like Sesame street is the fictional location for the PBS kid's show.
