Tell me about your experience or definition with this statement. Do you really think love is blind or is that only of what the million things Shakespeare has made up ?

it means that when you love someone you don't see their faults or things they are doing wrong. you don't see what everyone else in the world sees. you see the person that you love.

I think that love is blind to an extent. I fell in love with a man that I would have never described as attractive a year ago. We became very good friends, discovered we shared the same sense of humor, and ended up really falling for each other. The more I got to know him, the more physically attractive I found him.
I'm fairly tall and he's shorter than the men I would normally date, he's quite a bit older than I am, and has an impressive pot belly. Nonetheless, I am definitely very attracted to him.
Now, if I hadn't gotten to know him, or if he was terribly unattractive I don't think the results would have been the same.

Yes, love is blind.
Love is a state of mind. You can not be in love all the time or you will be stressed out. When you are in love, you tend to interpret things more romantically for you think with your heart not with your brain.

For men, love might not be 20/20, but it's definately not blind. You don't have to be grade-A material, but if you weigh 300lbs then love is going to see you, and walk right by.
It's just quite simply a false statement.

I think there is a lot of truth behind that statement, because when someone is in love, or thinks they are in love, the one that they love can do no wrong in their eyes. Even when their most trusted friends or loving family try to tell them otherwise.

Everything in literature isn't necessarily true or accurate...Love isn't blind, but people who think they are in love (or lust or infatuation or obsessed) can be...love is an emotion so it has no sight...it's the person who feels the love who may choose to overlook the "red flags" in front of them because who wants to face things that are undesirable? We foolishly ignore them thinking they don't really exist, or will go away if we don't acknowledge them...or that we're so special and s/he loves us so much that those things won't be an issue for us...or "I can change him/her"...

Love is blind. The right person is standing in front of you and you don't even know it. Also you might not know you love someone even though you do.

In the initial stages of the euphoric feeling of 'love', people will often overlook many things about their chosen one...but reality sets in a few months to years later, and if those items are deal breakers, often can mean a break-up (examples: smoking, messy house-keeper, gossiper, can't make responsible decisions, etc).

love is blind. you can love some body who is bad and abusive to you.
I love a girl who never treated me nice. i cant stay mad on her for more then two seconds. love is blind, if you would see her you would not think she is sexy and beautiful like i do. all my friends dont understand what i see in her. for me she is a godess. LOVE IS BLIND!
