You should be a Psychiatrist, they are the ones that get to prescribe drugs. But to answer your question, I think 4-8 years depending on what kind of Psychologist.

Depends. You can do some kinds of counseling with a master's degree (about 6 years in school), but I believe to be an actual psychologist you need a doctorate (about 8 years in school).

Well, 4 for a bachelors. But you can't be a psychologist without having a masters at the least. So probably about six to eight. My sister is dealing with this problem now.

alot i would just be a phyciatrist... for psychologist it 4 for bachelors, 2 for masters usually and then a few more PH.D a phyciatrist would need med school dont let med school scare u away. masters and Ph.D is just as hard. so i would recommend becoming a Phyciatrist

I believe it's seven, but really, a profession such as this one, you are always learning about new medicines, dosages, side effects, etc...

This is a career that you should feel passion for.

At least get a Master's Degree. Better to get a PhD, as you can get licensed.
