I'm a junior in high school and just cause i am really curious about the kind of college experience i will soon be having. So tell me the name of the college. Do you like it? Is it comfortable? As in does it got a small town kind of feeling or a big city feel? Are there alot of things you can do? Are there tons of clubs to join and sorities. Are there sports? Are the teachers/professors good? Is it worth the tuition money? Yeah so pretty much anything you tell me would be helpful on my college search.

I attend The Ohio State University. You might know that our football team was undefeated in conference and thus won the Big 10 conference. There are tons of sports here; everything from crew team to football to synchronized swimming. OSU is a very large campus (I think 3rd largest), but you can make it more intimate just by talking to people. Many of the general education classes have a lot of students in them, but that is because these classes must be taken by almost everyone who attends OSU. When you get into your major classes, the class size becomes smaller and you tend to have professors multiple times. Greek life is pretty big here, but you are not an outsider if you don't join; Greeks will mix with non-Greek. There is probably a club for anything you can think of, and if there isn't, you can start your own club. In addition to the collegiate sports, there are intramural sports every quarter. As for the professors, it all depends on who you get. I've had some wonderful professors and some who are very self-obsessed. Don't let that deter you though, you will get that at every college. The tuition is moderately expensive, but you are getting some of the top facilities and researchers teaching you.

I love being a student here, but that is just me. You should visit potential colleges, maybe talk to students that go there, and decide where you feel the most comfortable and happiest. Good luck!

I recommend that you DO NOT go to a big 12 or Big 10 school. You get lost in the shuffle. The people in the Greek society stick together, and everyone else just floats along alone. The professors are over worked with 100s in a class at a time. The TAs grade all your work, and they are stressed out too.

Pay more and go somewhere nice. Its your life!

I recommend a small Midwest college Valparaiso University. I did a master's degree there and thought it was great. They are a liberal arts college that is strong in many areas and have been ranked by US news and world report as one of the best in Midwest. They are known for academic excellence and professors that are willing to help you. They have fairly small class sizes, and if you have any problems with a professor the chair/dean fo a specific school/department is willing to work with you to resolve the issue. They also have NCAA sports as well as inter-mural plus a wide range of clubs. Their career services is very willing to help you find a job and they have good standing at many graduate programs. I know they have strong ties to Yale in their law school as well. www.valpo.edu
