i reinstalled the stock ir intake and the light is still on. what did i do wrong

To reset the engine light,i dont think 30 seconds of unpluggin the battery is gonna cut it.To fully reset your cars computer,the battery must be unhooked for 15 minutes.Rehook your battery back up and take your car for a drive down the highway so your computer can remember the way it used to be before the check engine light came on.If there still is a problem somewhere the check engine light will come back on.More diagnosing needs to be done.Something else is wrong.

You set a fault code in your cars diagnostic system. Depends on the car you might have to take it in to have them reset it. It may not do anything but store the code. More detail would've helped, Make Model, Year.

once the light comes on you will have to disconnect the battery for 30 seconds to reset the light,hopefully this will fix it.
