Barry Bonds -- or -- Mickey Mantle

Please, I beg of you--good answers. I don't want "Bonds sucks he's a dope-head" or anything like that. I want some serious answers from the good baseball fans around here.

That's actually a very good question and thanks for picking me as one of the good baseball fans.

Honestly, based on actual hard evidence they'd have to be considered equals.

Both Bonds and Mantle took greenies or amphetamines and that is all the more evidence against either individual. There is plenty of circumstantial evidence surrounding Bonds and his supposed steroid use, but until he actually fails a drug test or is convicted I'd have to say that they are both on the exact same level.

Bonds of course.

Mantle played in an era where performance enhancing drugs were unknown. He may have gambled and drank a lot, but that doesn't help you play. Is there something about Mantle cheating that I don't know? You may have to help me out here.

Bonds, on the other hand, has a ton of circumstantial evidence pointing to him. I know that it isn't definitive, but looking at it realistically if there was no wrong doing nobody would even have brought it up in the first place.

In real life most people don't get accused of wrongdoing unless there is some reason to be suspicious. If suddenly tons of unrelated people start pointing fingers and saying that a person is guilty of something I would tend to believe that there is some reason to look into it and find the truth.

The bottom line is that despite being very unlikeable and a confirmed racist Bonds has not been proven guilty of anything. My personal thought is that like McGwire, and Sosa it seems very strange that a man his age was able to put on so many pounds of lean muscle. It's not natural.

Bonds because he is closing in on the most revered record in all of baseball. If you read game of shadows it describes what he does and how he cheats. If he is to break Aaron record it will be very shameful and the most looked at record in all of sports will be held by a cheater.Mantle,I don't even know if he cheated.
