Let's see, there are lots of bars, restaurants and nightclubs in the area, and also the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Science Museum, Health Museum, etc. Cleveland.com is the best site for finding specific info on things to do.

Terminal Tower/Tower City Mall
Shooters on the Water in the flats(in the summertime)
Great Lakes Science Center
There's a Goodtime III boat tour
Nautica Queen boat ride
Trolley Tour of downtown
West Side Market

There's the Flats, restaurants and bars in the city, Tower City, and a bunch of others. Depends on what time during the day you're going to be there. Are you alone or with a family? When you say "hang" do you mean just hang about and chill? University Circle has museums and restaurants. Let us know.
