Hi, I am from South America. I want to go to USA for one year to study, but I am scared. Do Americans hate latinos? I would like to go there and find a beautiful girlfriend. I am a light-skin latino because my parents are 100% from Spain (Its true, I dont have indian blood in me, my parents are Vascos and Canarios). I am fun, tell a lot of jokes and laugh, I like to sing, listen to music and live life to the most. Most girls think Im good looking. The only problem with me is that its very dificult for me to speak English well (The pronounciacion). With those characteristics, what do you think? And also what state in USA is better to go for me?

I don't hate latinos. Some people hate anything. You'll find that no matter where you go. But as a rule, most Americans get along with anyone. It's the attitude that matters most.

No, most Americans do not hate Latinos. There are always some people who are just full of hate, but most Americans like all different kinds of people and try hard to be fair. I think you'll do just fine, and your English will get better and better.
If I had to suggest a state, I might pick one away from the Mexican border so that you arent confused with the many latinos that cross the border illegally and make trouble.(its kind of a sore spot) Most Americans, however, as I've said, are fair minded, and it wont be that big a problem wherever you go.
Now about that beautiful girlfriend, when you come here,don't forget to treat the girls carefully and with respect. This will give you a good reputation and give people a good impression of South America.

Claro que no! We don't hate yall (at least I don't). Don't get me wrong, there are some people that can be really prejudice but for the most part, we are loving people and we have all types of races here. And don't worry about you're English, the best thing to do is speak more and more everyday! It'll eventually get better. I actually wanna go to South America and learn more Spanish! =] But I would recommend Florida, Texas, or New York.

Hey man. Where did you hear us americans hate latinos? We eat latino food all the time in USA. Plus we have tons of latino immigrants over here.
and girls in america will love an "exotic" guy.
I live in New England, its a beatiful place. Perhaps those states are the best?

Well I personally don't have a problem with South Americans because I'm half mexican and half spanish(mom is from spain dad mexican-american) and wouldn't have a problem with you. Where I live live there is a lot of latinos and honestly wouldn't even guess you were'nt from here. I live in South Texas but it's up to you as to where you would like to live.
