-You could research how minorities are more likely to get arrested, and more likely to serve more time in jail once convicted, and how hard life is after they get out of prison.

Research why teenagers feel the need to do the "emo" thing these days, why it's cool to dress dark, and listen to dark music, and cut themselves, and why the other kids seem to think it's a high-status thing to be. In my day (15 years ago) if some idiot wondered around in big dark clothes, cutting themselves and dyeing their hair weird colours, we would have told them they were a twit and ignored them, not revered them. Now it's got a name, it's all the rage. Now they call it emo, then we called it loser.
