The father doesn't have a legal leg to stand on, however, in my opinion the woman should take into account that if she kept the baby and the man didn't want to she can still stick the poor schmo w/child support and the works. The fact is, in my opinion, that if a man and a woman have sex, THEY risk the possibility of causing life...I think that women who up and decide to abort w/out taking into account the man's feelings (as well as his abilities) into acount are being incredibly selfish...I have a son from a pregnancy I intended to terminate...He's one of the two best things in my life. (this by no means is me saying a woman can't or shouldn't abort, but my personal opinion on the subject of fathers and their rights...)

In the eyes of most people they would say, "NO!"
In the eyes of one who wants to be a dad, the answer would be "YES!".
People forget that it still takes two to bring the child (not fetus) into the world. God created man and woman and he told them to be fruitful and multiply. Having an abortion for the sake of the "OOPS factor" is not a great idea. Not only is this woman taking the life of one and thinking about "killing the child" she is will to consider "killing" the heart of a person who is willing to love the child and give it a life and support it.
Does he have a right to be involved. Why not. The woman wanted him involved enough to have sex with him. Now it is time for her to pay up.

IF the father is fully involved with the woman during the pregnancy and once the child is born, he takes full responsibility (emotional, financial, etc) as the child's father, yes.
But if he is only asking the woman to stop the pregnancy because he's got guilt that he got her pregnant or he's got an external source demanding him to stop the abortion, I say no.

Eventhough I don't beleive in abortion, I still think it is the pregnant person decission what to do with her body
BY that no one expecially a man should tell a woman what to do with her body
9 month & no gurantee you will come out alive.... with this odd do you think a man should decide ?

Does a father have the right to demand that a mother give her kidney to save their child? No.
No-one can force someone to undergo or not undergo medical treatment for the benefit of another. Except the government in rare cases of highly contagious disease, and even then they can't force you to get treatment they can only imprison you unless you undergo treatment.

Philosophically, yes. It is as much his fetus as her's. If it took two to create the pregnancy, it should take two to end it. (barring rape)
Legally, no. A man cannot force a woman to carry a pregnancy to term. The pregnancy has far more effects on a woman than a man, so she is the only one who can decide what to do about it.

No this happened with my husband with his first wife. He got deployed and came back.. they found out they were expecting two months later... she called the doc to get an abortion and my husband tried to have this stopped b/c this was their first child and he wanted to be a daddy and so he went to a judge and the judge told him that they couldn't stop her b/c it is her decision and her body...

It's the womans body,so it's her choice. I feel sorry for the fathers in this situation if they want the baby but they dont have much to say in the matter sadly.

Unfortunately, it isnt your call (sad, I know). I dont know what state you live in, but you might want to check your rights. Thing is, you cant force a woman to carry a child she doesnt want, and that is the bottom line.
If you are this man, I commend you. Too many men would prefer the abortion.

I actually believe that the father SHOULD have the right to stop the abortion, but he doesn't.
