Oscar winners are so quick to thank the people they work with, but they don't thank people like their family first and (if they believe in God), God himself. Is this taboo?

Actually, a lot do. And if someone believes in God or not is none of your business. If an actor or actress chooses not to thank God, then that is their choice. Mind your business. I'm Lutheran and I'd like to think pretty religious, but I don't jump down people's throats for not thanking God...

i've got self assurance in God! Haiti is have been given no longer something to do with God! do no longer blame God for each and each of the undesirable issues in our existence. remember we did it to ourself! i've got self assurance those peoples experience they have been bless and of path via whom? Do you're making mistake? once you probably did some thing incorrect, would you no longer prefer that peoples forgive you? Perhaps they don't believe in God.
And even if they do believe in God, it's smart not to profess thanks to God in the acceptance speech. Why? Well it's not like anybody's gonna stop watching the program if they don't, but there's no upside to risking offending anyone.
If they do believe in God, it would be smarter to thank God privately in their own way. It's none of anyone else's business anyway, the relationship between them and their God.

Guess it shows apriority in most of them. I have heard people that thank God at awards ceremonies so no it isn't taboo just unfortunate.

They do thank their families, and many of them thank God. But that's like thanking the air for being there to breathe.

because they are so self absorbed in themselves they don't actually realize god is the person that really gave them life. but......if they don't believe in god then they don't have to.
