Xeropthalmia: dry eyes or decreased production of the tear ducts
The other word should be Avitaminosis which means "without enough vitamins"...a person who is lacking a certain vitamin

Xerophthalmia, you may have misspelled it. It means dry eyes.

Avitaminosis, you may have misspelled it. Avitaminosis is any disease caused by chronic or long-term vitamin deficiency or caused by a defect in metabolic conversion.
