could be several things .. u may need to turn it off first .. .if theyre usb u may need the drivers or to enable legacy support in the bios ..

if you are plugging it in after the computer is on then don't. you need to plug them in before the computer is on so the computer recognizes them. also check to make sure you have them plugged in their proper hole and not switched

are they both compatible to your system & did you install them
