During my 2nd labour I found pain more intense and harder to cope with - with every contraction I was moaning in agony and teling the midwife that I "couldn't do it anymore!' Sounds irrational but I truly thought that I physically couldn't do it. The midwife was amazing, all she did was calmly and softly explain that the pain was so intense because the contractions were doing their job, I vividy remember her telling me that I was doing so brilliantly, yet I do not remember even the look on my husbands face! - funny what you remember! - my best advice is to have someone on hand to tell you how well you are doing and that your body is doing exactly what it should be in order to deliver you a gorgeous baby. That should be your focus - also it makes a great story to tell people afterwards - how in control of your body you were!

Something bright that will hold your focus. I had to spend some of my labor in the back of an ambulance, so I focused on the reflective stripe on one of the guy's jacket to get through my contractions. Good luck!

nicely, no person gave me this suggestion, yet i circulate to grant it to you. i'm assuming you would be breastfeeding provided that that's element of your question. My suggestion is, do no longer provide up!!!!! the 1st month is confusing provided that's painful and a few toddlers have problems with latching on. After the 1st month, breastfeeding is plenty greater common and relaxing for you and infant. Too a lot of human beings do no longer provide breastfeeding sufficient of a brilliant gamble. that's a brilliant replace on your physique and you go with it sluggish to get familiar with it. (i comprehend however that some women have no decision yet to quit thoroughly or in part via fact of problems with milk grant, and so on.) My daughter is now 3 months previous and she or he's completely breastfed. i'm so happy that I caught it out and desperate to proceed even yet it replace into no longer continually basic. solid good fortune!!

imagine with every contraction that you are on a rollar coaster. the pain is mild at first and then it gets really bad and then it calms down. with each contraction it feels that way. if you picture it like a hill you have to get over and keep telling yourself that its almost over it works.
