I don't see the problem. There is nothing wrong with being a "goth girl"! :-p Perhaps you live in some hick *** close minded small town where everybody wears abercrombie & fitch and Tommy Hilfiger? And they think dressing goth is "evil"? Pfft. Honestly, who gives a crap about them? I used to dress "weird" in high school too and people would sometimes make their little comments. I used to find it quite amusing myself and it only made me want to be MORE of a non-conformist. Don't worry about it. All it means is that you are more deep of a person than they are because you dare to be different and not be just another cookie cutter carbon copy like everyone else seems to feel they need to be.

Have you ever took one look at some one and had a weird thought or without even thinking you gave a raised eyebrow look? And after doing this you found them doing something nice and it threw you off? Well I say that is the answer. You like black and it is just a color which is eye appeal. Try to just appeal to people's hearts and don't worry about the silly looks. You will be surprised at how more shocked people are when they see this "goth girl" who has such a huge heart. Kill them with kindness! It works believe me. And for those meanies who don't know when to quit, continue to hold your head high. They are trying to get a rise out of you, don't give them the satisfaction. Have a great day honey. I understand the situation. And how you feel.
I want to tell you that being yourself is the first thing and best thing you could do. you will be stronger and more confident. If you want you can make your style look more modern, use the clothes you like togheter with some accessories that make your style more in fashion, maybe a waist belt or a long necklace in silver or gold. mix and try to put something tohgether to an outfit.

Good Luck

This is YOUR style, not anyone else's. Don't be embarrased, and don't change your look if you like it. Usually people who dress differently make a statement because their confidence in themselves shows. Embrace your unique style and try to be more confident in yourself. This will show your bullies that you don't care what they think about you, and they might back off a bit. If not, don't answer to rude nick names and ignore them. They are just trying to get a reaction out of you, so DON'T GIVE THEM ONE!

Unfortunately, in our society, the second you don't fit into the 'normal' crowd, there is something to pick on...so either you follow the norm group or accept being different and have people pick on you!
Try to look at the advantages and make it look positive for yourself! I used to be called 'beanstalk' (almost 6' and skinny), and I used to hate being so tall; however, at one point, I had discovered tight jeans and boys staring at me, making compliments, and so on....you'll be good. Being different is fine.

hey, don't you just love the narrow minds of our society! These people clearing do not understand anything that goes beyond the square they live in.... Unfortunately being unique does have a price, but nobody said you had to listen to them, its hard, but ignore them. I grew up being the "odd freaky girl" at school, people do tire of it after a while. If these people aren't your friends then what does their opinion matter anyway.... I learnt laughing at them made me stronger.. I admire anyone who wants to stand far from the crowd!

Stand tall and be proud!!!

if you dress outside the 'norm" people are going to look at you, and pink on you. You just need to get thick skin. I am in the same boat as you and i just learned to deal with it
