if a organism has a diploid number of 72 then how many chromosomes would be present in each daughter cell after mitotic cell division? ow did u figure this out

Still 72 as daughter cells derived from mitotic events are also diploid. What separate during mitosis are couples of sister chromatides AFTER replication, therefore the content of DNA immediately before mitosis is 4N, where N is the number of haploid chromosomes (in your case 4x36), and goes back to 2N (in this case 2x36=72) with the mitotic cell division and cytokinesis.

in real people speak: DURING MITOSIS THE CELL IS MAKING AN EXACT COPY OF ITSELF. so if the "parent" cell has 72 chromosomes then both of the "daughter" cells will each have 72 chromosomes.

because biology or bio means life and chromosomes have to do with your system faras with trhe D.N.A like a plant has chromosomes.
