Providing you purchase rugby studs, any of them are legal. These are aluminum, not, plastic. The shape of the aluminum studs are rounded at the ends so as to cause less damage.Especially when a ruck has formed. All rugby boots come with the correct studs.Football studs are normally plastic and are a flat bottomed stud. Football studs are illegal in rugby. If someone does wear them, and the ref spots them at his inspection, they will get sent off to change them.

Tinks - all the refs should know by now the Mitre speedstud is legal (and it is kite marked as well)
However - because they look wrong you may still get some refs rejecting them as Rugby League or unsafe. Ultimate decision is down to the ref on the day, but you could help by keeping them clean so the kite marks on the studs are visible !!!!

I recomend you to get aluminum so u can crush people in the scrums and rucks. but before you buy any ask if its approved by IRB. And don get football cleetes because they have hook studs in the front.
