Hyperbole is: Over-emphasizing a point. An obvious and intentional exaggeration.

If you hurt yourself I'm going to kill you.
Drink that milk shake and you're going straight to hell.
Everything you eat will kill you and for God's sake, don't breathe.
I've been waiting forever for you to get out of the bathroom.
I'm dying of hunger.

A figure of speech in which exaggeration is used for emphasis or effect...
I could sleep for a year!!!
This book weighs a ton!!!
I'd give my whole fortune for a bowl of bean soup!!!

Etc., etc. extreme and wildly unrealistic exaggerations for effect.
