Wearing eyeliner may cause eye infections if: 1. You are using someone else's eyeliner 2. The eyeliner is of a very bad quality and brand name, so it may have a lot of harmful chemicals in it that other better brands don't have. 3. Your eye is somehow allergic to an ingredient used in the eyeliner. 4. Your eyeliner is very old. Doctors recommend changing eyeliners ever 6 to 8 months to prevent eye infections, and changing mascara every three months to prevent eye infections.

Yes and no. If the person who you borrowed the eyeliner from has pink eye you could certainly get it. You could also get an eye infection. It is best never to share eye makeup. Seriously, eyeliner can be purchased for as little as $1 so why take the risk?

No No the only way you can get pink eye is if that person that you used the eyeliner had pink eye.. Now if she used someone elses eyeliner that had pink eye than used her own...now you do have a chance you can get it.. but other than that dont worry about it... Plus, try getting your own because its not sanitary to use other peoples eye makeup...

Pink eye is NO fun. :( i've had it.

If the person used the eyeliner when she had pink-eye then probably. If she didn't then probably not but you could still get and infection or some of those tiny bugs that stay on your eyelashes.

Yikes! Never, ever wear someone else's make-up--especially eyeliner, mascara or eye shadow. Also, replace yours if you think you have had pink eye or any other type of eye infection or virus. Take good care of your vision--you need your eyes to last a long time!

if that person has pink eye and is in the contagious period then yes

or if they had it and used the eyeliner during th contagious period and did not trow it away.

fyi: if you have had it in the past it does not mean if someone ue you eyeliner is going to get it as long as its a new eyeliner and the old one was thrown away.

Yeah. Pink eye, and other assorted infections. Get your own makeup, it's not that expensive. Never use anyone else's makeup.

And even if it's your own makeup, never use any of it that is more than 6 months old. Infection risk.

Yes I bet it is just for the fact that there is a lot of germs on the eyeliner\lip gloss\whatever..... and then it would spread to you so to be safe i wouldnt share any of your make up.

If that person has conjunctivitis (pink eye) you may also get it. It is very contagious. You may also get other eye diseases. Not a good practice to use other people's beauty products. Its worse than using their toothbrush.
