Global warming is at the fore front because politicians found how to use a new platform to get re-elected. The world leadersuse it because they found ways to make money at it. This is a made up problem just like Global Cooling in the 1970's. Wake up people. I agree we need to be more efficient with our resources, and we should fine and jail companies who are dumping into our rivers maliciously. I want to stop the raiforest destruction, but to say that global warming is a serious man made issue and we need to destroy the American economy and bow down to the rest of the world certainly does not float my boat. Follow the money on this one and you will see that it is all for political gain and grant money for those scientists who profit off of the government if global warming stays at the front of the issues. Look deep into the Keoto (sp?) Treaty, first of all they took jets to a non-central resort location. Not very environmentally concious. THen in the parameters of the treaty they have a clause that makes it so you can buy or sell polution credits. This is all about shifting wealth and breaking down the United States. This is painfully obvious, just look at peoples agenda. The earth's mean temperature has risen .6 degrees C in the past 125 years. Greenland's icecaps have gotten colder in the past 10 years. The Scientists who do not gain anything on their posisition will tell you that the earth has a natural progression and this is what we are seeing. The UN report is made up of POLITICIANS not a good spread of scientists. THere are as many or more scientists who believe that man in NOT the reason and it is over hyped, but their voice is not heard in the LIberal Mainstream Media. WAKE UP AMERICA, IT IS TIME TO BE AMERICANS. FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE. STOP THE LIES

OK , I will say it one more time... There is no Global Warming. It is just a evolution of the earth. It is constantly changing. That is not to say we should not help clean up the air we breathe but the earth is taking care if its self. It is just in the evolution change area. If Global Warming is happening due to what the Global Wackos are saying, how did the earth come out of the ice age 2 million years ago, man was not here yet?. There was no pollution then and the Democrats were not here yet. Also not one degree climatologist has come out to say that we are doomed to extinction buy Global Warming.

Global warming is a long term thing based on trends over decades, centuries, millenia. Until about 1850 there were some years hotter or colder then normal but overall temperatures rose very slowly. Weather is short term and you're experiencing weather. It may be very cold now but in a few weeks it may be very wet,very dry, very hot.

Global warming is a red herring designed to strip your pockets and frighten the masses. The Earth does not have a stable, one size fits all, climate, ... never has, never will. There are warm periods and ice ages, the climate is constantly in flux. To those who believe mankind is truly to blame, ... first you have a huge ego, thinking man can effect such things, ... and second, why is the Martian atmosphere showing signs of warming, too, ... while the sun itself is going through an unpredicted peak in solar activity, ... I suppose that's our fault, too.

After this winter when it was so cold, scientists said that: "Oh, actually, Global Warming is more made up of sudden changes in temperature than a steady increase in world's climate". So, I think it's up to you to decide what you believe :) .

Global warming doesn't mean it is going to be warm at every place and every possible moment. It means over the last 30 years and into the future the average temperatures have risen ever so slightly.

its "climate change" in the winter and "global warming" in the summer!!!
you can't convince people of global warming in the cold months.

I totally agree with you. Other parts of the world are getting slammed with cold weather as well. Isn't Al Gore a genius......NOT!

The process is very slow. So there will not be much visible effect on winter weather anytime soon.
