I would say it depends on how good you get and how fast you get there. Most players have their peak years between ages 26-29. This is usually when they have been aged veterans in the game and mature in their ways. Usually, it takes anywhere from 4-8 years to get to the level of competitive form. If you are serious and train for 3-4 years, I think anything is possible. I would suggest starting in local tournament to guage your level, possibly pick-up a tennis coach and learn all that you can.

Yes it is too late. The real pros started playing tennis 20 years earlier than you and probably practice 3 times as much. This is something that sets tennis aside from other sports. It would probably take a minimum of 13 years of tennis experience to become a pro and even people with that much will almost never go pro. While let's say basketball, if a tall kid starts playing at 15 and worked really hard he could have a decent chance of going to the NBA.

Honestly no.
I know the positive thing to say is anything is possible but I was a top 3 national level player in my country ( canada ) as a junior. I trained 4 hours a day ( court time, physical training... ) minimum during those days. When i would get to an international tournament I could hold my own with most kids in my age group but I was competing against kids who had dropped out of school and made tennis their job, and their life. Holding my own meant I could hit with them but I didn't beat many of them. If I couldn't beat them being the same age and coming up at the same time as them how are you going to catch up to someone who has at least 15 years training and match play time over you.
That was all assuming you wanted to be a travelling level atp pro, if you were talking about becoming an instructor at a club then by all means you can become a coaching pro at that age.

You can probably learn to play the game well enough to become a pro at a tennis club. You'll never get good enough to make the top ranks in the world, like Agassiz or the Williams sisters.
