i have been with this girl for almost 5 years. i love her with all my heart,we have a child together who is nearly 6 months old. about a year ago i lied to her about some things and she has been unable to forgive me. she says she will never trust me again and our relatonship is dead. she wants to leave and take my child with her to live her own life without me. i am a good father and i try to be the best i can for both of them. i have tried reasoning with her and telling her that her not liking me anymore isnt a reason to take someones child away. i mean i live for this child. not to mention im still madly in love with the girl. what should i do. i dont wan to lose my daughter or the girl i love. but she says she doesnt know the future and cant tell me how long she is going to say. am i doomed to lie awake every night wondering if il never se my child again. am i handling this wrong. advice please.

Depending upon what the lie was, and assuming the lady isn't betraying you with another guy.....
If you lied about your being with another woman, she has every right to leave you ---- like yesterday. Anything short of that, is negotiable.. Betrayal is the only real deal buster in a relationship.
So assuming that this is not the case, does she in fact have a guy on the side, keeping you as the Jerk in Reserve until she is solid with this other guy..... I believe just as when a guy wants to bail, it is "Cherchez la femme" (find the woman) I also believe that when the reasons for telling some one that I no longer trust you because of some piddly little fib, it should be. "Cherchez l'homme" (find the guy). If your relationship is worth saving, you need to get down to the bottom of her discontent.. and if she has indeed betrayed your love with passion for someone else, then you need to decide: "Do I still love her? Can I ever forgive her?" because you sure as hell will never forget.
So, hon, you have several issues here, the least appears to be some piddly lie, if indeed that was a piddly lie......

You have legal rights to see your daughter. No one can take that away from you. You will have to talk to a lawyer to get visitation rights. I'm sure she will want child support. You maybe should go see some kind of counslor for the other problems you have. Good luck.

give her space. Let her do what she wants to do. Be there for her all the way though. let her know you arent going anywhere. You should let her know that you care and love your daughter. She should never take your right away to be the best father you can be. Some people just fall outa love. be honest and open with her.
if she says something you don like... remeber to just listen and never leave your daughters side.

if you really love the person that u do u would not doing anything that against her mind and heart but u lied to her maybe she dont want your promises anymore . try in diffrent way to win back your love and kid come home on time going out with them give all your love and time maybe for this reason of you u can hold her back to u

you need to sit her down and have a long talk. ask her what it is that you can do to have her trust you again? tell her that you can and will do anything she wants. talk about your child and how mch they both mean to you and are willing to goto the ends of the earth to get back on track. are you willing to go to counseling? that could be a start. i wis you three the best of luck. i will pray for you.

If the child is really yours you will have legal rights to see her and take care of her. As far as the woman.....thats what happens and sorry to say is the price for lying. I recommend focusing on your child!
