1) reflection

2) An acoustic wave or pressure wave

Sound propagates as waves of alternating pressure, causing local regions of compression and rarefaction. Particles in the medium are displaced by the wave and oscillate. The scientific study of sound is called acoustics.

3) The density of the substance it is traveling through mostly. If it's traveling through air the temperature of the air will have some influence on the speed.

4) Our eyes have color receptor cells called cones that are sensitive to different wavelengths of light. Our eyes see these different wavelengths as different colors. When light bounces off of an object that absorbs all of the wavelengths except for those we see as the color orange, the orange can be reflected back for our eyes to receive. Then the cones in our eyes decipher or interpret this particular incoming wavelength as that the object reflecting it is the color orange.

5) It's a wave that is made up of both an oscillating electric field and an oscillating magnetic field (oscillating means basically moving back and forth)

EM or Electromagnetic wavesLight, microwaves, x-rays, and TV and radio transmissions are all kinds of electromagnetic waves. They are all the same kind of wavy disturbance that repeats itself over a distance called the wavelength.

1.) orizontal array of the same hydrophones was used in the horizontal plane.

2.)The Speed of Sound: Sound travels at different speeds depending on what it is traveling through.

3.) The pink and orange color is due to the presence of manganese and chrome.

4.)An unpolarized electromagnetic wave traveling in the x-direction is a superposition of many waves. For each of these waves the electric field vector is perpendicular to the x-axis, but the angle it makes with the y-axis is different for different waves. For a polarized electromagnetic wave traveling in the x-direction, the angle the electric field makes with the y-axis is unique. A polarizer is a material that passes only EM waves for which the electric field vector is confined to a single plane that contains to the direction of motion.
