I don't think we should have a draft system. People shouldn't have to fight a war they don't believe in. My nephew is in Iraq and my niece is soon to follow. They are there because they wanted to go. That was their choice. We are supposed to be the land of the free. I don't feel free when I worry that my family will be drafted. War used to be fought for freedom now it is fought for politicians and oil. I believe the people that bombed us should pay for what they did. Their actions where deplorable and I grieve with the rest of country for what we lost. However, only people that want to fight should have to fight. So, to end my long winded response to your question, I would be angered by the use of the draft system.

I want the government to apply the same standard imposed on the workplace to also apply to the military. If I tell an adult joke on the job in the prescense of the ladies, the security guard is going to meet me at the front door after lunch and take away my ID badge. If I'm in line at the mess hall and I feel up the crotch of some good-looking babe, I want a Discharge after serving my time in the bridge.

If they don't want to draft the girls, I want the EOE laws also changed to reflect there is a difference between sexes in civilian life.

in my day we had a draft and it was just the way it was...so i say perhaps we should bring it back...right after we impeach W and Chaney and that whole gang of lying weasles.
i think a draft is a good thing, gives everyone a couple of years of service to their country, and helps them to grow up a little bit and understand that there is no such thing as "entitlement" to the good life...
