'Why'? Why do you assume there's a reason? Well, there is a reason actually.

Men can biologically remain fertile and capable of impregnating a woman for their entire lives. Thus, their sexual peak starts immediately upon reaching adolescence when the hormones rise to their highest level.

Women however stop being fertile in their 40's. Thus, for evolutionary reasons, their sexual peak hits them in their 30's as an incentive for them to breed before they become infertile.

Having been married 3 times, I can assure you that it's true. Most women reach there sexual peak sometime between age 31-40.

Another myth of pop culture. Some may, but only by chance, hardy a given. I'm 46 and as sexual as I have ever been. At my peak? Who's to say. It could get better, tho it's rather hard to imagine. Many of my friends, at this age, are telling me they have very little interest. Many are in the throws of menopause, just before it or past and I think that may have much effect.

But so many things effect a woman's sexuality and have nothing to do with age. Fear of or desire for pregnancy, their current relationship and the sensitivity of their partner, their weight and appearance and the way they believe others (especially men) see them, their culture, their morals, the condition of society at the time in question, the stage of their life and their family condition, their health and hormonal levels.

For me, I think part of it is that I am single after 24 years of marriage. Men are noticing me, I have an active social life for the most part and I think of myself as a sexual being. If I were still married I'm sure I would still be sexual with my husband (I'm a widow) but I wouldn't be getting all this grand attention as I wouldn't be out in the world in the same ways that I am now.

So don't listen to all this "women this" and "women that" stuff. Get one woman. Learn her. Then she will be all that matters anyway. K?

Can you define "sexual peak"? Please state your source(s)...I can immediately think of good evidence to suggest this is NOT the case and I would otherwise bother to post it. Why did you fail to do likewise?

EDIT:
What "choko_canyon" talked about was limited to FERTILITY concerns. I am still waiting for a definition as to what in your opinion constitutes "sexual peak"!

EDIT: Looks like the definition of “prime childbearing years” is ON THE MOVE - Up, Up and Away...

"More fortysomething moms are having babies… Births to women 35 and older are soaring. And many complications are becoming so routine that nurse midwives can manage them instead of sending women to high-risk care specialists. Doctors around the country say they are treating far more of these risky cases than they did a decade ago".

Depends on the woman. I got out of a long-term relationship and have the highest sex drive of my life (I'd like to have sex every day, if I could, or more). Thankfully, I have a partner who has a high sex drive, too. I'm 48. He's 50.

Before this, I've had different periods where I wanted to have sex once in a while, but never anything close to this! I also feel the best about how I look, how I feel, the most self-confident, and the most in love.

This myth has actually been debunked. It turns out men and women have the same rage of sexual hormonal activity in their late teens and early twenties. Until recently, women were not comfortable pursuing their sexual desires until they were in their thirties or forties because it is not until then that women really grow into themselves. This is going to start changing as women have begun recognizing and accepting their sexual nature at a younger age.

I think part of it is due to our culture or society to suppress girls from exploring their sexuality when they're young. Society emphasis girls to remain "good" and "wholesome" and abstain from sex. Therefore, stunting their sexual progression.....
