My boyfriend and i haven't had been together for five months almost half a year and we haven't had one arguement yet? is that normal? He's a very mellow person, very considerate of what moves he makes, he doesn't like to argue and he's very understanding. So are we past the honeymoon phase yet? Does that mean were in our stable stage now? Does meeting his parents have anything to do with being in a stable stage?

This is very normal for some couples. My husband and i do not argue or fight at all and we have been together going on nine years now. You are very stable and count your blessings for this kind of relationship. My husband is very mellow and laid back too and he is a very calm person. I love being married to him and you do not have to fight and argue to get along and be happy in your relationship and or marriage. Meeting his parents is a great sign and I feel he is getting serious about you and the relationship now and may ask you to marry him before too long. Good luck to the both of you.

No, dear, meeting his parents does not have anything to do with the 'stage' your relationship is in. You 'know' that it is in what you call 'a stable stage' when you know that you LOVE him and that he LOVES YOU, but there are no 'great highs' and you don't seem to 'need sex' all the time. If the two of you have 'made it' together for nearly six months, with never argument, it could be because you are 'in love with the right one for you for the rest of your life' or it could mean that one or both of you is 'not responding to potential arguments' out of the fear of what 'could happen' if you do ever 'fight.' I'm sorry to tell you this, but you don't always have to 'shout' and 'be steaming mad' during an argument ... and you need to look at the way you 'feel' and the way your boyfriend 'feels' after you have a 'quiet discussion' that could have gone into 'argument' ... and if you both 'feel really good' both during and after, then I'd say this is 'the one for you' and it's a 'very good time to meet his parents' because they need to 'meet' their 'new daughter.'

Depends on your age... Meeting the parents when your young could mean nothing but when your an adult in your 20's it usually means something..
How much time do you spend together?? If it is like you almost live together and you have not haven a fight of some sort i am surprised.. But if you only see each other a few times a week here and there sounds normal..

You have to work hard lifelong to maintain the stable phase in a relationship ... it is not something you earn once and enjoy without further efforts afterwards ... keep up the good work ...
