For one thing don't send any mixed signals, you don't want to hurt her feelings so your being nice to her and if you say something like " I just want to be friends" that's to blunt and could send a signal that you don't like her. So just don't do any dating or go places alone with her. Be nice to her and let her join in on the activities that you and your other friends do.

just be honest & tell her " hey I like you ( if you do ) but right now I only want to be friends .... I had a close friend in the same situation & he waited to long to tell the girl & she had feelings for him & when he finally got the nerve to tell her, she stopped talking to him... so if you want to stay friends I suggest you tell her straight out before she gets hurt or you get hurt & there is no friendship left to salvage... & besides if she likes you she'll be ok with being friends.....unless there has been some messing around at which point friends is not going to be easy...good luck

hello thats easy we like to be told the truth no matter sometimes how hurtful it is. Do you know how she feels about the same issue? Maybe she just wants to be friends. I say just be honest. That's all we ask for is for a man to be honest you earn more respect being honest. And if you are not honest what is it going to lead to you leading her on and hurting her dont lead her on let her know how you feel about the issue. dont beat around the bushes dont be so rude in saying it either just go to her in a kind way and just say that i need to talk to you about us. Tell her the truth. Please dont be rude about it, if you really want to keep yur friendship with her because if you value her as a friend and you go to her in the wrong way you will loose a friend.
