Is Vanderbilt considered an Elite School?

I know its not ivy but is it still up there with the ivies?

Yes, a very respected school. Considered one of the "Southern Ivies".

They are all the same now, I mean you don't get a "better" education at a private/ivy/public university as was once was. Yes Vanderbilt is considered an older higher prestige school.
