I honestly don't think there will ever be a time in anyone's relationship that they "stop" getting to know each other. I mean, I think it last forever... It may not be something you even think about talking about... you may just go to a park 5 years later, and your significant other say "Aww, dalmations are my favorite animal of all time" and that is just one more thing you learn about them. I believe everyday new you spend with your significant other is a million other things learned. That's what keeps a relationship going :)

Only if one or both parties are more interested to get laid than to get to know each other's hearts. I don't mean this in a bad way, but if one's lover starts showing disinterent in the other when they start having sex with each other, than that person just really isn't into forming a serious relationship with the other.

Actually, I prefer to have sex with someone before I get to know them. For me, having a physical bond is important for having interest in the person from the boyfriend POV. I have tried it the other way and wound up with a boyfriend whom I had no sexual chemistry with. I define that as friendship. During such a relationship, infidelity is an absolute in my case. Am I strange? I don't think so. Don't many gay relationships start this way, with a "test drive".

The only times that one would stop 'getting to know' the other would be if sex was the only reason for hooking up.
I've had a few friends would were like that. But, if you're really into the relationship, you never quite stop learning new things. After all, you're different people who see many things from different perspectives.
I suppose your last sentence answered it for you, though.

Ig two people are truly interested in each other and more than just sex, getting to know one another should never end.
However, you should try to learn all you can about another individual with whom you plan to have sex BEFORE you actually have it.

Joke: That's because it's not polite to talk with your mouth full....Okay sorry.
Answer: Sex should just bring you closer and give you more to talk about. If that's not happening, you're having sex too soon for your relationship.

I disagree with that....you can have your best in-depth talks right after sex while you're naked and no inhibitions.
It totally depends on the couple.

Funny, that's when I thought you really started to get to know a person. Fully and completely.
