I am short and have an athletic build and can't find pants that fit my waist and still fit over my legs and butt, my waist is anywhere from a 0 to a 3 depending on brand but i usually can't find a pair smaller then 6 that fits my legs and butt right. Any idea's for new brands or styles to try? I wear mostly Express and Levis right now.

Try silvers, they are low rise so they sit kind of on the hips. I had that same problem because i need a small waste and bigger legs. They worked perfectly but they are pretty expensive, you can buy them at maurices, buckle and other big brand stores.

I have a similar problem- my waist is a 2 and my hips are a 6. The jeans that fit me the best are Joe's Jeans: Socialite style or Hollywood Glamour style. 7 for all mankind: bootcut or A pocket, and Citizens: Faye Style. They are all pretty pricey but sometimes you can get lucky and find new ones in a consignment shop and before finding these I was having such trouble it's always worth the extra $$. Also, if you like Levis some of their stores have a department where they can custom make a pair to your body.

I am 12 too. Well actually I just turned 13 a few weeks ago. I know just how you feel I have a valentines dance too. AT THE DANCE: When you go to the dance with this guy show him the real you. If you act nervous he will be able to tell. If you are not sure how to dance then just watch everyone else. But you dont have to act and dance like a slut to get noticed by a guy. It's not worth it. WHAT TO WEAR: It's best to find an outfit that looks the best on you. Either of those shirts would look great. I would go with the Vans because you dont want to look to fancy at a school dance. WHAT ELSE TO DO: Remember to just be yourself and not to worry about what anyone else is thinking about you. Just have a great time. School dances are really fun. Also that was really bold of you to even ask the guy. So keep up the bravery and have fun!! GOOD LUCK!!!

Hi Stcmo, I have the same problem. They just don't think about us small people. I wear a 0-1 sometimes i will run across some very nice jeans at a second hand store, and i have found out in my area there is only one store that carrys the sizes we both need. That is the Target store in the junior sections. I hope you have a Target where you live. A Friend.

I have a girlfriend with the same shape as yours. She swears by "Lucky Brand" jeans. I can't wear them but I'll bet they'd be perfect for you. Unfortunately, i think they're a little expensive. I bought a sweatshirt in the store for almost $80.00 before Christmas and I still feel really guilty about it.

Many people are telling you to try American Eagle jeans. I don't think they will work. I wear them all the time and I have a completely different shape than you.

I'm really short too, 5'2" and have thigh and backside issues too... I wear Tilt Jeans. You can find them at Pacific Sun Wear or you can find them online. They come in short, regular and long so you don't have to get them tailored. However, we all have different shapes and sizes so... try out this website that will help you find the perfect pair of brand name jeans. They ask questions that address the exact concerns you are facing! Good Luck! Its called Zafu.

Nowdays, getting low-waist jeans are "in", but if they're still too big at the waist, then try some fashionable belts or get a loose, longer tunic-style top with a babydoll waist that will camouflage the extra room around your waist.

I would say aeropostale beacause i also have a similar problem for example when i was a little younger my jeans were usually size 14 at like target but then i went to aeropostale. they have a wide variety of jean sizes. I wear a 3/4 S wich is a little baggy but the lenth is perfect and it doesnt squeeze my hips.

My little sister has the SAME problem, There are not many jeans that fit perfectly but her best finds so far are those apple bottom jeans and the jeans by J-Lo. I know thats not a great and easy to find list, but I hope it helps.
