When India overcomes corruption, religious genocide, dowry problems, religious discrimination and Indians learn proper etiquette then I think chances are Indians might be able to feel proud about themselves

India is at the end of the day MY country. Its like my mom. She may not be the most beautiful, the prettiest, the coolest or the smartest. But she is MY mom and I love her without questions. Similarly my country. Like they say in Sanskrit, "Janani Janmabhoomishcha Swargadapi Gariyasi" (Mother and Motherland are greater than Heaven) As an Indian having travelled around the world, outstandingly Indian virtues are intelligence, family values, rich culture, acceptance, empathy and inborn happines/contentment/high self-esteem. What Indians could do better? Many things - not look for a short cut to success, respect privacy(sure!), treat everyone absolutely equally, stop in a crisis and help, not push children to excellence in everything.. But hey, even Americans of Indian origin need a generation or two to observe, absorb and change! Indians in homeland would change too... the seeds have already been sown and give it time to get entrenched!

Many NRIs are returning to India.
Many NRIs are planning to return to Inida.
Only when there are
more job opportunities,
good paypackets.
Better school facilities and good Health care.
Housing is affordable..
When Children and women are safe.
When slums will be proper housing colonies.
When the Infant Mortality Rate becomes zero.
When millions of Children in India will not die due to Mal Nutrition
When there are no beggars on the road..
When Corruption finishes. (At every level there is corruption in India. Day to Day life is not smooth and obstacles are there just because bribes have to be paid to get anything done.
even to get a Gas Connection.)
When Children are not kidnapped for very high ransoms and when children are not killed by some and the Police does nothing.
(Noida kidnapping and killing)
When India becomes SAFE FOR CHILDREN WOMEN AND EVERYONE.

because india is a socialistic country and being among all countries our people worship land that is the greatness and more over all the indians are of well minded but the governament of india not providing jobs for their knowledge so they are rushing to other countries instead of being here so at last what i come to say is being an indian we have to proud that our indians are working there because in those countries they donot have people which are well minded

hey man who says we are not proud to an Indian, yes we do have poverty and communalism,but other country who are economically and politically strong than us also suffers from this problem. Aperthid is still practised in London, SouthAfrica and in many other country, poverty still exist in USA also though the % is very low but it still exist. There is no such Nation who is trouble free,accordingly we are also facing some problem,but that dosnt mean we are not proud,we are proud to be an Indian and we are proud of our motherland.

When they begin to have civic pride towards their own towns and cities, erradicate garbage, and the disgusting habit of paan, spitting and urinating everywhere.. Cut down on unecessary holidays in the name of religion, become more productive, do away with corruption on every level of society .. and when cows stop becoming a hinderance on the roads, and when Indian men begin to respect women. Perhaps patriotism and pride will emerge.

who says man,dont think Somme's thoughts as Indians as a whole,there lot of Indians who feel proud to be an Indian,i am among them,those who (Indians)feel shame on being Indians let them suicide and Bron again to another country.MERA BHARATH MAHAAN,I LOVE MY INDIA.
