These people are idiots.
Multiple Navel Piercings or a Navel project. That's what it's called. There is no name. Personally, I think it's really hot, and it takes a LOT of effort to heal them, because the side piercings are essentially surface piercings (which are really hard to heal.)

wow, you have a 4 sided belly ? and want to know what its called when you get it pierced? my daughter had her belly button pierced at "north" and had to get it removed as she caught it on her jeans button.ouch !! could be a lot of pain for you for little gain.

I believe it would be called a circular pattern, if not just all four sides. Please check out the yahoo group "bellybuttonpiercing" for more information. I have six of the original eight left in mine, and I just call it the lint stopper :)
