Because of the experiences I've had, I don't really try with most people anymore. I'm not sad though, I'm ok with it. It's better to be without most people than to have them and get hurt by them right? Does anyone else feel this way?

Please no religious comments about finding Jesus or whatever.

well you're right the majority of people are selfish, mean and conniving and i have had more of those touch my life than i want to ever remember BUT then one day you meet someone and you find they are honest, giving and would never think of hurting anyone intentionally, their hearts are big, they don't judge and love you and care for you for just who you are, nothing more and the feeling of being valued is incredible. honestly they are rare but worth 100 of those that hurt and deceive you and they are out there and those are the ones that make life worth living. don't cut off everyone as you don't want the gift of friendship or love those precious few who make life so so wonderful and full can give. they are worth far more because they are so rare. hang in there, you sound like you may be one of those very special ppl so spread your gift to others as you well know there are lots of ppl out there who need it...

Even fairly uncomplicated learn on the meant learn signifies that there are grave problems with the way it grow to be done. And it is the problem with taking a non-medical attitude to expertise - you get consequences that do not advise some thing. a million. the in trouble-free terms charity referred to grow to be the Salvation military, a Christian charity. The Salvation military is brazenly hostile to equality for gays, a reality which on my own signifies that any donations I make will bypass to a unique charity. what number atheists would consider that? the majority, I assume, and in a city like San Francisco that that they had understand the Salvation military's stance on GLBT subject matters. 2. the website representing the wealthy, the liberal, and the irreligious grow to be a Macy's in San Francisco; the website representing the poor, the conservative, and the non secular grow to be a Wal-Mart in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. the object does no longer look to communicate any type of keep on with-up on the donors. for this reason, it isn't plausible to assert what the donors fairly believed - particular, that is particular that the tendencies will very much reflect what they anticipated, yet assume the handful of atheists that quite got here through the Sioux Falls website contain 0.5 their take? looks unlikely? particular. yet without controls we do not understand what got here about. 3. there grow to be a reliance no longer in trouble-free terms on the Salvation military, yet on spontaneous donations specifically. in my view i do not supply spontaneously, because I very, very hardly ever have money accessible. when I supply to causes that is through the important workplace or with a undemanding withdrawal or cost. My wager is that the wealthier someone, the more beneficial in all probability it is to be actual. perhaps i'm way, way off. yet, again, without controls, without more beneficial documents, how will all of us understand? ABC fails to furnish us with any assistance on tendencies like that. There are, honestly, more beneficial subject matters to be discovered the following through someone keen to do more beneficial than a cursory exam. besides the undeniable fact that the base line the following is this learn, inclusive of it is, proves quite no longer some thing in any respect. i'm more beneficial than keen to settle for the theory that the non secular are more beneficial charitable than the irreligious... so long because the documents is collected in an actual rigorous style.

Yes there are cold hearted people out there. But there is also a fair amount of good friends that are loyal and care for you. So don't let this issue get in the way of finding those good people.

Derek:
You're hanging with the wrong people, need to get yourself a better class of friends. Don't give up! It's no fun being alone.
Believe me, I've been there. Shut everyone out for awhile. It was o.k. at first, but we are social creatures. Good Luck.

Yes, people have become more involved with their lifes that they have no room for others. They seem to think they are the only ones with feelings. The thing I do is remind them that they are human the same as I. I treat people the way they treat me.

Yep i used to think like that and theres still apart of me that still does. I trust very few people now, and watch my step most of the time. I act as if i trust people and in fact i don't, im waiting to not get hurt again.
Its sad, but im getting better at it. I just wait to get to know people properly, and if they stab me in the back then they know where the door is!

Yes, I've noticed that.

Some people are like Slinkies. They aren't really good for anything, but they're sure fun to watch when you push them down the stairs.
