In 1969 "we" were going to do so much...a partial list includes:
Rid the world of wars.
Clean up the environment.
Get rid of nuclear weapons.
Never blindly follow our leaders into war or other folly detrimental to humanity.
And yet we grew up to accomplish none of the above and follow the worst president in history on a course that appears to only end in nuclear war.
But we all got nice new cars.

3.We will get rid of the nukes,as soon as we can use them.

I think every generation thinks the same thing.through out history the young wanted to change things and some things do change but over all I think that these are the same things that has always needed changing but probably never will.

Every generation wants to correct the errors of their parents, but no generation turns out to be perfect. Every generation turns out to have made errors that its children will have to correct.
"Our" generation inherited a brand-new Peace and Prosperity as a result of winning WWII. Our parents thought they had solved the world's biggest problem, fascism, but then in solving that, they had created a new problem, The Bomb, and strengthened another major problem, Communism.
We didn't really blow it. We did what we could, but the younger generation will have its own task.

They didnt blow it . You were lied to and so was i . What i thought was going on and what i was told was going on ,was all lies and i had to figure it out by myself as you have . Now i see the world in a new way and have had to change all my plans . Also now i dont trust anyone and you shouldnt either .stay strong and put everything you got into you @ your family .
