Are they so pitiful that they just can't stand to see a good guy succeed? Nobody in Indy ever trash talks Tom Brady. Why do the Pat fans feel compelled to hate Manning?

Did the refs give the 2004 AFC Champ game to the Patriots by allowing such blatant holding?

Since Mr. Drum has requested that I address his concern, I will do so here.
First, I have to say that I made a mistake! In talking about a large number of people it is a mistake to say things like "all" or "nobody". This is a common error. So to say that "nobody" trash talks Brady is not true. My bad. What I should have said is that the proportion of Colt fans that speak poorly of Brady is MUCH LOWER than those Pats fans that hate Manning. I simply don't hear it here. Radio, TV, whatever.
As far as doing more with less, I don't see how you can say that. Give the Pats a break. Remember, I DON'T HATE THEM. They have had awesome teams and were simply more talented and experienced when they beat the Colts. I can accept that. Why can't you? Now the Colts have caught up in experience and talent and are the Super Bowl Champs.
I can see where the Pats fans would get used to winning. What I don't see is the inordinate amount of hate they pour on Manning. It doesn't make sense.

Man Cash, you must have hit a nerve in New England!!!
I think it's funny that the Pats fans say the Colts were "given" the AFC Championship game. Is it the same thing as what happened in 2004? Remember that AFC Champ game? It's the one where the only strategy the Pats had was to hold the Colts receivers. The NFL actually had to remind the ref crews about defensive holding and how to call it.
To Red Sox and Terry:
Is that the same as being "given" a championship? It seems like it. Everyone outside of Boston agreed that it was a farce. This year the Pats couldn't hold a 21 to 3 lead. That must have been some SERIOUS cheating by the refs. Frankly, I'm surprised that no impartial individuals mentioned it. Hmmmm. It's funny that you think the Pats are entitled to all the calls.
To Bailey:
I can't understand a word you wrote because you can neither spell nor use proper grammar. I would humiliate you further, but my mother taught me to be kind to those less fortunate. I will add this. You are right. I didn't say anything when the Patriots won THREE Super Bowls. Why? Because I can accept success in others. I don't feel any need to hate the Patriots or Brady. I can give a good team credit. Too bad you can't. It show a weakness in character.
To Forushu:
Do you have a point? Or just need the points?
To Seth:
You must have really hated when Michael Jordan was playing in the NBA. He was all they talked about. Oh, you must have been REALLY sick of Larry Bird too. Maybe you are just resentful of the fact that Manning is the real thing.
To all Colt and Manning haters:
You may say what you want on here but the Colt fans have never been anywhere near as nasty or hateful as you are about Manning.
To Terry:
The only people comparing QB's are from NE. Colts fans simply DON'T CARE about Brady. That's why you don't see them running smack like you. They know that Manning is all they need.
I CHALLENGE you to copy and paste ONE post from a Colts fan deriding Brady that is not an answer to a NE post! C'mon Terry put up or SHUT UP!!
If you knew anything about the history of football you would know that there has always been more than one good player at each position. You are pitiful. The more you run down Manning the more you prove my point about your jealousy. Brady and Manning don't buy into it. Why do you? It's eating you up isn't it?

I'm sick of the comparison. If you've noticed, before the Colts won the SB, people already "hated" Peyton Manning, and now, since they won, people hate the guy even more...one word: Jealousy. Honestly, I don't even consider Tom Brady a great QB. He is good, no doubt, but not great, and definitely, not better than Peyton. Carson Palmer, McNabb, and McNair are even better than Brady. Have you seen the guy play? he is slow!! he's lucky to have a great O-line to give him ALLLLL the time he needs (because he does need a LOT of time).
And yes, Patriots fans like comparing Manning and Brady. Just look at Drums626, all her/his football questions are about "Manning or Brady." LOL...a little retarded!! BTW, Drums626, if you've been to IU, you'll notice that most people are Bears fans, not Colts fans.
p.s - I'm not exactly a Colts fan. I just enjoy watching their offense. Bengals, Colts, and Eagles - I love the way they play offense. The chemistry between QB and WRs is amazing. I remember when Carson Palmer drove all the way to Indy to watch Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison play.

...and people starts hating on Vince Young...LOL http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AvW8lg1rqhs22SWdy3mLVZzsy6IX?qid=20070211001109AAs7EvB&show=7#profile-info-AA11843277

I am not a Patriots fan and I put down Manning all the time. Maybe people get tired of hearing all about Peyton Manning. He is all over tv and all ESPN use to talk about is how good he was and how he couldn't get over the hump. I know why I put him down. He had played with Peerless Price, Travis Henry, Al Wilson, and various othe NFL starters now. He plays with Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Joseph Addai, and a decent Colts Defense. Micheal Vick plays with nobody and still comes close to leading the Falcons to the playoffs, Vince Young has nobody and he almost lead the Titans to the playoffs. Tom Brady has 3 Super Bowl rings. Brett Farve has a ring and is one of the best ever and all we hear is Peyton this Peyton that. I remeber back in 2002 when the Colts went 6-10. Manning started all the games and Harrison was out, Wayne wasn't drafted yet, and James had been out all year. To put it simply Peyton Manning is overrated.

good question. why does everyone try to put down manning. if you read espn's page 2. Now they are downplaying him winning the super bowl, like it was a total accident that they beat two of the best defenses in the league.
I just think that the rivalry between the colts and pats is so big that whatever the other quarterback does the other teams fans are going to boo hoo it. cause they dont want to see them do good.

Youre wastin your time askin ManU fans to congratulate anyone other than themselves. Ive been a ManCity fan for many years and now we're so used to Utd's bitter paranoia we just laugh it off. Just look at some of their nasty answers to your question, if you want proof of what a humourless and soulless lot they are. By the way, well done Liverpool. 8-0 is 8-0 no matter who your playing against -and Besiktas is not a bad team.

are you kidding me? If Peyton Manning fans are going to think for a second that Tom Brady fans put Manning down more than they put Brady down ur crazy. If you think u saud absoultly nothing when he won THREE superbowls u would just be a bunch of liars now I really don't care who u think is better, but u can't say you were any better sports when the Patriots beat YOU to get to the superbowl. oo by the way the packers/bears rivarly will alwyas be the best, especially this year since the packers might be decent

We don't hate Manning...just the Colts fans who think he all the sudden is better than Tom Brady...
Super Bowl Rings-
Brady 3, Manning 1*
*(with a star by it because the Colts were given the AFC championship by the refs)

Nobody in Indy trash talks Brady? Please, thats a blatant lie. My younger brother goes to IU and he tells me the stories of everybody hating on the Pats and Brady and "forgetting" about their three rings.
Simply put, Brady does more with less. Manning has hall of fame talent around him on offense, his friggin center will prolly make the hall. If Brady had the offense Manning had he'd never lose...he makes Reche headlights Caldwell a semi-decent receiver.
Pats fans are just used to their team winning AND their quarterback helping in their teams success. If you can honestly tell me Peyton had a better post season then any of Brady's three super bowl winning seasons then you are crazy. Respond to that one Mr. Cash...
