I would love to do it in the future. It would be great to just leave it all behind and just do what you want, when you want no matter not. But it wouldnt be ideal. There is too much at stake.

What on earth makes you think that "living" and "existing" have to be mutually exclusive? I'm doing both right now and do not have to acquire food by either stealing or hand-outs (which are pretty much you only options if you do not have an income). I suppose you could grow your own, but that would certainly mean you are shackled to a piece of land.

Ther are plenty of ways to experience life to the fullest and still be a productive member of society.

What you are describing is a childish fantasy and quite selfish.

So if you don't want to be a part of the economy why "sell everything"? You could just give it all to me instead. I'd be happy to take your "safety net" off your hands for you cos mine is wearing very thin at the moment!! Good luck dreamer - it never hurts to think about it.

I'm with you sister. i think this place needs a bit of anarchy to make things a bit more interesting.we should gather up a posse and start a bit of civil unrest. stop letting the lunatics run the asylum and give it all over to the people.

That kind of "living" is impossible for a guy with a wife and 3 kids. Otherwise, sure, I'd do it!

No. Don't want to. I like what I've got right now.

Question, tho... if you go off to some desert island, what are you going to do if you get appendicitis or a toothache?

Sounds way too frightening. I hope I have the courage some day, though.
