He is a great character! Perfect for CGI. (You've got to get the right actor, though.) Any suggestions for an actor? Let's start with the guy we ALL start with: Nicholas Cage. I have a TWIST, though: We can use Sean Connery (it's an easy role, not very physically demanding, as the ring does most of the work--not that Sean can not DO physically demanding things). He could be an older Lantern who gives the ring to someone younger. I HAVE ONE DEMAND: STOP using YOUNG actors who are under 30 for all these "Origins...Beginnings..." films!! Let's just see the hero in action AS A MATURE ADULT, ALREADY EXPERIENCED without having to sit through the whole ORIGIN and psychological ISSUES STUFF!!!!! Blah!!!!! Let's se an ALL ACTION film!!!!!!

You got my vote, bro. GL all the way! How about having GL as the (elderly) Hal Jordan, training a new guy to pass his ring on to, and reminiscing? Then there could be flashbacks to his younger days, which could be Cage. I’d love a weekly GL TV show. Let’s work on it. First, we keep demanding a GL movie, then we go see it a bunch of times, so that they start a tv show. Deal?

I'm with Thomas G. Green Lantern would make for a far better TV series than a movie. The idea of the Lantern Corps is a little too complex to be developed in 2 hrs while still leaving enough time to have a real story. Plus, using the entire corps would avoid the controversy of having to choose which Lantern would be THE Lantern used in the movie. All the Kyle Raynor and John Stewart fans would be angry when Guy Gardner was chosen as the one to be represented.

In terms of casting for a TV show, obviously it would be less known actors, which works fine for me because then they would be more committed to keeping a long-term series going. Big name actors wouldn't want to do a series like this because it would be on a lesser network and because it would interfere with the freedom to do other projects. This could be a really great TV series on the CW or SciFi or Spike, though.

There was talk a while back of a Kevin Smith helmed Jack Black version. Thank God that seems to have stopped.

There have been hints of the WB developing something with the whole Corps: John Stewart, Guy Gardner, Hal Jordan and Kyle Raynor: Kind of like the marine corps in space

If there was a film
For John Stewart I could see Denzil
Guy Gardner: Bruce Willis
Hal Jordan: Ben Affleck
Kyle Raynor: Jonathan Jackson (the first Lucky Spencer on GH)
