My picture does not cover the whole screen there are about 2inchs on the right side of the screen that is always empty

Depending what kind of monitor screen you have you can find it in the control panel, go to start and click on control panel and switch to category view and in there you will have the settings for your monitor. You also have on the outside of your monitor buttons to adjust your monitor. Hope this works for you!

Did you try adjusting the Vertical and Horizontal width for the best fit??? Also, there another adjustment that move the picture around without changing the size.

Try to set up screen size, width, height etc. If no difference in screen size by setting, monitor may be faulty.

you should have little buttons below your screen to adjust it maybe these buttons have been accidentally hit just use them to rectify it
