has anyone got sick from eating taco bell?

those people say it has like ecoly in it..but ive never ever gotten sick from eating there.

To my knowledge I haven't gotten sick from taco bell, then again the last time I ate there they had the goosebumps toys in the kiddie meals. About people getting sick I think that it's mostly the grease that doesn't agree with them.

Of course there is also the green onion e-coli insident, and the workers going to work sick or not washing their hands in preparation. And even if a worker that was sick sneezed on your food I'd imagine the virus would have to incubate and it'd be several days before you get sick otherwise you were carrying the virus that was going around all along and got sick the next day. The workers depend on the taco bell you go to I guess, but I'm pretty that they are as sanitary as McDonalds.

E Coli is a very serious thing. But I am sure that the moment that it was traced to Taco Bell, the company and the Health Department were all over it (I know because I work as a manager in food service and they dont let this kind of thing slide). I am sure that the affected stores were closed down, cleaned out and all food taken out and tested. None of that food made it back to the store. THey got new stuff and it was checked out before they were allowed to reopen.

In addition, foodbourne illnesses take many hours to take effect, they do not happen right after you eat. This is a common misunderstanding about food poisoning. The food has to get into the intenstinal tract and multiply (bacteria multiplies) in order for it to make you ill.

Also, Health Dept does not consider it a food borne illness unless there are 2 or more reports of illness from the same place, same food and also it has to be MANY hours after it occured.

Feeling sick from their food could be for other reasons. Maybe an allergy to the food, or the fact that they used a ton of oil and it is just not good for anyone to eat that much oil - very greasy foods can also make you feel sick.

OK so heres my story..

I have gotten sick from eating there!! I will never eat there again. It just happened over Christmas break, and I went to Illinois to spend my christmas with my aunt, and my grandma.. We ate at Taco Bell and I got really sick like throwing up constantly, and I had a fever.. It was horrible.

I don't really eat there but if i do i eat chicken items. There's no way i'd ever eat the fake beef. People are right it's a low grade of beef. I used to work there and the cases of beef say taco beef filling i would mention some of the fillers but it is better if you don't know.

Yeah. I feel that taco bell just doesnt agree with me. I know the feeling. I get dizzy, and then vomit like hell for the next 2 days. THis has happened 3/3 times I have gone there.

Just becaus eyou haven't gotten sick doesn't mean anything. You have to eat the actual contaminated lettuce to get E. Coli and many people who come in contact with it have strong enough immune systems to fight it. My father-in-law got E.Coli a few years ago and still suffers from the effects to this day.

Isn't it funny how people say that taco bell makes them sick EVERY time they eat there? WHY are you going back?
I can't say that it makes me 'sick', BUT, it's definitely the #1 fast food laxative in the industry.

No not yet, but I did get really sick from eating at Wendys recently, I was throwing up french fries outta my nose!! Wendys customers beware, that Dave Thomas put something evil in his recipes or something...LOL.

I eat there regularly and have never gotten sick in any way.. Mickey D's and BK however have me running everytime I try it.
