Rednecks who live in trailer parks and are on welfare vote for the Republicans, even though the Republicans are a Rich Man's political party. Does this make any sense?

For the most part, anyone who lives in the south typically votes Republican. They have for generations and won't change their views as they are taught to not question their heritage. I am a "Northerner" and married a southern man, but we live in the Northern States. However, many of his family members are from the south and have a very scary close-minded view of republicans are the only good party. I choose not to talk politics with any of these people as they'd rather talk then listen. I see some points to your arguement, however, it is unfair to say that the poorer people vote that way. Typically they will vote democratic. However, the majority rich/poor in the south still vote republican. I don't believe they want to hear or listen to new reasonings that could potentially sway them to the other side. They are very afraid of change.

In the first place; you have no right to call people who live in trailers "White Trash" whether it be in the North or South.
How do you know how they vote? Secret ballot.
White Trash is a derogatory term that rates right up there with the "N" word. Totally uncalled for & cannot be defended.
Many elderly live in trailor parks because they can no longer take care of yards & general maintince on homes. Are they too called White Trash?

I thought Democrats were supposed to be "open-minded" and accepting. I guess you disproved that notion. If Democrats are supposed to be "for the working man," your contempt for the Southern variety of working man is curious.
Some of the worst rednecks I have ever met were in Michigan and Connecticut. There are lots of rednecks in Europe too, especially England (where they are called "Chavs;" they are "Die Bauer" in Germany).
Why do you call the Republicans the "rich man's party?" George Soros, Hollywood, Anne Cox Chambers, Ted Turner, etc. are all anti-Republican.

The south used to overwhelmingly vote Democrat. I live in the North, am not rich, and will never for a Democrat. People vote Republican because they believe in the right life, family values, following laws, national security, and lower taxes. If Republicans are really a rich man's party, why does ever in Hollywood vote Democrat. You should also adjust your attitude about southernerns, since I live in the North and know that northerners are the rudest people in this country, and are mostly liberals who are trying to destroy America's values.

People who vote republican are caught in the notion that this war is actually being faught to "save the farm" or whatever else ad nauseum.
Most of the people who are for capitalism don't even have any capital but they don't bother to reaearch. They just get fed their information through their televisions.

Because African American vote Democratic. If it came about that African Americans began to vote Republican then all those rednecks would vote Democratic - just like their pappy's did.

I know of a lot more wealthy people who vote for Democrats. Us rednecks vote for Republicans because we fill that we can trust them.
