Depending on your connection type and what network hardware you have between your computer and your connection, the issue might be a changed MTU value. For example, if you have a small router between your DSL modem and your PC, both might have an MTU of 1500. If this is the fact, you will need to lower your MTU by a factor of 8, such as 1492. By making the Maximum Transfer Unit slightly smaller on each device, no two devices have the same setting (or worse, a larger setting than an upstream device)

In Windows 2000, this can be done by finding the MTU in your registry and changing via regedit. Also, there are many utilities you can download to change network settings. Check out: http://www.shareware.com

You might need to clean up your internet browsing history, cookies, etc. You might have a corrupted cookie or the like.

Try downloading CCleaner at http://www.download.com

This program does a great job a cleaning up things. It has a list of things it will clean and you simply put check marks in the boxes of those items you'd like cleaned. Works great.

Hope this helps.

what I think the prob is is this you need to get rid of some temp internet files. the way to do this is to go to accesories to system tool to disc cleanup and localize your main disc which is usually c drive and let is clean up the hard drive if it comes up you have 50 or mores megs of temp internet files then that making the pc run slow its taking up memory and slowing down yer processor capish?
