Keeps blowing the gasket on the oil filter.I've tightened it up, changed it.and it keeps doing it.no theres not another gasket stuck on it.so what could it be?

replace pcv filter and purchase vented oil filler cap theres too much pressure in side systen// if that doesent work drill small hole in the filler cap see if that doesnt help god bless// goodluck

Al thought the guy before me said a few things right. It does sound like you have a bunch of base pressure. Does the engine have high mileage? Anyways there is an oil cooler on the truck. All Chevy 4wds have them. It is possible that adapter may be bad. It might have cracked. They are not that expensive. A good way to tell if it is bad is get under the truck while it is running and look at it. Might want to try a different name brand filter also. Might just be a bad batch of them. Hope this gives some insight on the problem.

All the answer before are good , But . What I would do is get a new filter and put some oil on the gasket then put it on first ! Then go from there! It is the low $$ way out !

The pressure reg in the oil pump is stuck,install manual guage to ck it .
